a lot better than homm VII in terms of gameplay ( even tho i loved the homm 6 art style). They bought back a LOT of stuff people asked from previous homm. You can play the game just fine with steam after autenticating the game key once when you install the game. You only HAVE to use it once and its when you register the game.

People that are bashing uplay or the game didnt even bother to try it out. Its not exactly crucial for me, as i play Heroes 3 on LAN with my cousin on our Windows 7 computers. Moreover, i had no idea about these issues in later operating systems (is this problem only Windows 10 related). Thank you so much! :)) I think I asked this question on 3 different threads no answer, everyone is so busy bickering about the game ^^ btw do you like the game? I had no idea Heroes 3 uses P2P instead of client/server.

You only need to connect to uplay one time for registering the key, after that you can play in offline mode and/or without internet connection as long you want. This is an unofficial expansion to Heroes of Might and Magic 3, created by veterans of the series from Russia. The authors wanted to preserve the spirit of the original and decided to leave the core mechanics of the game unchanged, adding only a new city, units, and artifacts. The project is constantly developed by HotA Crew, consisting exclusively from dedicated creators who know their craft. After clicking play uplay trys to sync archivements but after it failed, you can simple click on skip and the game starts and you can play. I set steam to offline mode and disabled my whole internet connection. Originally posted by KyuRizu:Yes! I tried it out just for you.
